This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environment - Hyper-V v8.1.8 on Hyper-V 2016:
Is it possible to change the default restore location inside the MMC GUI when doing a Virtual Maschine Restore? If yes, how?
Right now the default location (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Hyper-V\Virtual Machines) points to a directory
on the local hard drive of the hyper-v server and a user has to manually enter a new directory name.
You can't predefine a proper path and currently there is no memory check as a pre-restore-task to find this problem and inform enduser.
As a result you wait in worst case 1 day for a recovery error message because of missing progress bar and some other empty information fields in the gui caused by memory allocation errors (which are not shown in the GUI).
This design feature should been normally present in the very first version of the product and not be an issue for Version 8!
Please keep this in mind.
