Using Powershell DataSpaceUsage in TDPSQL breaks fundamental requirements

TDP for Databases (MSSQL) makes use of powershell API call "DataSpaceUsage" prior to executing the Backup Log command to the virtual tape interface. The resulting query against the database allocation unit structures suffers from blocking while seeking LCK_M_S locks. This has resulted in the introduction of several hours of waits on busy MSSQL systems and many missed log backup schedules.
