Optimized backup support for deduplicated windows server file systems

TSM client cannot deal with natively deduplicated windows filesystems, it is only able to handle deduplicated data efficiently through image backups.
The problem is that image backups are not incremental, they are huge and take too long to be viable.

Optimized backup and incremental optimized backups implementation on the TSM client is the only viable solution in our case:

I also think that with larger and large disks and generalized client side native data deduplication, this approach is going to be the only possible choice in the future.

    IBM has evaluated the request, and has determined that it can not be implemented at this time or does not align with the current multi-year strategy. This request may be resubmitted for consideration after 18 months from the date of submission. The request submitter will automatically be notified by email when the request qualifies for reconsideration and resubmission.

    Consider using Spectrum Protect Snapshot for Windows.

    we have the same issue backup is taking very long times plus all our maintenance plan is affected.
    our TS3200 library is almost full
    please upgrade baclient to work with windows deduplication considering the many advantages that it offer specially that it reduces the amount of used storage considerably
