Windows System State Backup does not include the Windows Internal Database

As parrt of the system state backup the Windows Internal Database WID does not form part of the system state backup.

e.g. c$\Windows\WID\Data\master.mdf

Windows own internal backup WBadmin backs this up as part of system state

The Windows Internal Database (WID) is not officially part of System State. It is true that WBADMIN has function/feature to back this up, but that is something that Microsoft did outside the official "System State" backup.

This Windows Internal Database is a SQL Server database and should be protected using a SQL Server-aware tool. You could use the SQL Server backup mechanism to dump it to disk, and then use the BA Client to store it on the Protect Server. You should also be able to use a specialized agent, like Data Protection for SQL to protect it with application integration.
