Statefarm is using TSM for VE (Data Mover Node) to back up virtual desktop from Citrix/VMware Infrastructure. When Data Store run out of space for any reason, backup of vm fails but TSM for VE client keep trying to backup next VM in same data store and this cause outage for vm user and want allow to login to their virtual desktop.
We want TSM for VE client skip backup of all other VM's on that data-store once the backup job has detected the out-of-space condition for that data-store.

I believe you can prevent new backups from starting if the datastore is out of space by using the vmdatastorethreshold option in the dsm.opt file (windows).
This request is a candidate for a future generally available (GA) release. IBM's statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice at IBM's sole discretion. IBM will update this request to reflect any changes.
We would like to have TSM for VE do a quick check of the datastore free space to ensure it meets a minimum value prior to attempting the backup.
