Spectrum Protect Data Retention should be able to delete Copy Storage Pool Volumes

In Spectrum Protect Data Retention it is not possible to delete any data manually, which is the key functionality of the product.
In case of duplicating the data stored (i.e. on tape) we use Copy Storage Pools.
To allow an exchange of the underlying storage infrastructure it should be possible to delete Copy Storage Pool Volumes, because there is no migration path from one storage box to another concerning Copy Storage Pools.
The problem is, the Database utilization grows extremely up with referencing objects on old (and removed) storage devices.

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.

I also know customers who complain about the missing possibility to delete copy storage pools. Also, the number of copy storage pools combined with the number of active-data storage pools for a given primary storage pool is limited to a maximum of three. Hence, after three hardware refreshments of technology the problem is even bigger. I would prefer not to increase the maximum number of pools and rather allow the deletion of old ones.

The request does make sense because a lot of customers using SSAM change storage technology over the past years. Therefore Copy Storagepools were moved to new storage devices that require new deviceclasses while old technologies are to be discontinued. Unfortunately the definitions and records of old copy storages remain in the database and confuse the customers.
So this is a means to keep the order in a compliance environement.
