This is essential to protect the security of a customer's Spectrum Protect Environment and other assets. Very few SP customers would want to allow direct access to IBM's FTP site and yet with increasing SP client numbers auto deployment for upgrades is a must. We have one customer with 8,800 clients to upgrade.
All other tools in the market or atleast most of them would support this use of Proxy server . I was in impression until i hit this requirement and necessity this is in Spectrum but this is Bizarre to hear that we cant use proxy . Please fix this it helps lot of accounts .
It's insane that a professional product like this can't use a proxy server ! This is the basic for a professional tool.
This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
