Increase Performance of RMAN/TDPO backups and minimize crosscheck initiated sessions

after upgrade of BA Client and TDPO to 7.1.8 /8.1.2 Client level we have a massive performance problem which was caused by thousends of sessions initiated by RMAN Cross Check.
As long we are using Dedup in target pool the change of filesperset option to 1 instead of 128 (more or less)was indicated to reach best dedup ratio.
Since update we have an performance decreasing ratio of 400% in worst case.
We need the former performance back to reach our SLA with Oracle Application Vendor. All problems was caused by session initiation authentication encryption.
Could we try to change the method of cross-check with RMAN to leave and use less sessions opened to compare CTL File with backup DB instead of compare each object in one session each 1:1 to prevent us from by initiation wasted time?
