This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

We need to deploy and configure a lot of clients (round about 5500 nodes). There is no way inside ISP to deploy client code intitially to clients and confgure nodes from central point like OC. It would also be nice to use use the same install method over all platforms and components (IBM IM for instance). The OC (ISP database) should be able to track client cofig changes e.g with a special report.

In an estate large enough to need the requested functionality one cannot survive without an IT Asset inventory tool, a Configuration Management infrastructure and a CMDB. They are much better suited to provide the said functionality than a data recovery tool like Tivoli Storage Manager/IBM Spectrum Protect. Quite often the report could be provided by an ad-hoc query to the CMDB.
