TSM for VE vmcli

I want to run a TSM for VE vmcli backup using an external scheduler (ControlM) so I can chain backups, dedupe's, reclaims, node replications, etc together.
The backup command pretty much forces me to use the -I and specify a file with vmname: in it. I do not want to have to hardcode the VM's as they may change/add/remove. If I use this command and specify the -d for DataCentre then have vmname:* in the file, TSM for VE will do a backup but not work inside of the VM's for the DataCentre specified by -d. It branches out to all nodes in vSphere and does a snapshot on VM's it should nt be backing up.

vmcli -f backup -t TSM_IFINCR -d Karlsruhe -o Karlsruhe_dm -s karbstsm2 -I D:\TSMjobs\vmcli_VMlist_1.txt

I would like vmcli to be more intelligent so that:
1. It knows what VM's are in a Datacentre and operates with in it
2. The -f file accepts wildcards and an * operates only within the Datacentre specified
3. You can exclude VM's even if they get caught by a wlidcard in the -f file

These are things that the GUI can do, so the command line should also allow.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family
