OEL Oracle Enterprise Linux Client Support for TSM Backup

Need to validate that TSM will support OEL (Oracle Enterprise Linux) as
an operating system option in CMS for the CSM4Oracle offering. OEL
will become the default OS option for CMS and OVM and I need to ensure
that it will be supported by the TSM team as an operating system. OEL
is binary compatible with RHEL.
IBM is contractually obligated to provide OEL to our CMS4Oracle
offering and we need to make sure that it is supported by the TSM team
as an operating system.

Please let me know if OEL is a supported option for TSM, and if not
what it takes to provide the support so that we can meet our
contractual obligations.

    I need to understand the reasoning for not considering the operating system as an option. The CMS4Oracle and AMMOracle offerings revenue stream is very large (in Billions) and OEL is going to be the main operating system platform for those offerings. OEL is 100% binary compatible with RHEL so there should be little if any true development required to have the OS functioning with TSM. Please provide me with contact information for who I can contact and discuss this with along with Ramesh Kumble DE and Chief Architect for the Oracle offerings in IBM Cloud.

    IBM has evaluated the request, and has determined that it can not be implemented at this time or does not align with the current multi-year strategy. This request may be resubmitted for consideration after 18 months from the date of submission. The request submitter will automatically be notified by email when the request qualifies for reconsideration and resubmission.
