Support TSM Storage Agent to be used in virtual machines for "Serverfree" backup to shared disk

IBM GPFS is a supported file system for performing "server free" backups to shared disks (similar to LANfree backups, which are going from a TSM client system with TSM for SAN directly to a tape). At the moment, this method (Server free backup to shared disk) is not possible from a virtual machine, because TSM for SAN (Storage Agent) is not supported to run in a virtual machine. Storage Agents should be supported also in virtual machines. This support might be limited to "non-SAN" shared disk access, like IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) / IBM Elastic Storage Server (ESS).

    This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
