TSM fo VE / More fine granular user priviliges for Web GUI

Currently, the vSphere access permissions for any vSphere user that wants to use TDP for VMware GUI must be defined on datacenter level.

That means, every user always sees everything and ALL VMs under the specified datacenter. He can do backup and restore for ALL VMs.

For many customers, this is not acceptable as they have strict access definitions on vSphere users. Specific vSphere users should only _see_ (!) VMs in specific folders or even only specific VMs. And they should be only able to backup / restore these specific VMs. In most cases it is even not allowed to see that there are other VMs.

Build into TSMfVE GUI a more fine granular projection of the exact vSphere rights. It has to be possible that if user 1 only has access to vm1, vm2 he should be able to see, backup / restore only these VMs. It should not be a requirement that datacenter persissions must be defined.

This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
