not every customer wants to add the vSphere Web Client IBM Data Protection extension. i think you should add this feature also to the Data Protection GUI
This function is now available in TSM for Virtual Environments - Data Protection for VMware 7.1.1.
By using the vSphere Web Client IBM Data Protection extension introduced in 7.1.1, you can use the vSphere Web Client to locate the desired VM, then use right-mouse click "Restore" to restore the VM.
If the VM is a deleted VM, go to the IBM Data Protection tab for the Datacenter and choose the VM from the table...which can be sorted on VM name and filtered as well.
