TSM V6 database Reorg Status

The requirement is to be able to report the status and progress of database Reorg from within TSM rather than through DB2 (e.g. query database f=d - is it finished and if not how much more to run). Also it would be good to be able to schedule reorg thourgh TSM commands (e.g. setopt) rather than with a manual edit of the dsmserv.opt and a server restart.

    I see this RFE was Rejected, but I do see an explanation as to why. The current implementation of table reorganization on large databases, whether you are using deduplication or not is cumbersome for the TSM administrator. I would be interested in knowing what the TSM/DB2 developers are doing about it.

    Rather than using setopt statement to control the reorganization time and duration, it would be much preferable to be able to integrate reorganziation commands as part of a maintenance script. That way it could be sequenced with the rest of TSM daily administration.
