Snapdifferntial backups for Netapp data on tap cluster mode (c-mode)

Tivoli Storage Manager Backup/Archive Client
Netapp Filer CIFS and NFS share backups.
Currently Netapp snapshot functionality can be used by TSM to perform snap differential backups. This is particularly useful for large file systems with millions of objects. This is currently supported for only Netapp Data On Tap 7 mode versions. It is NOT supported for data on tap cluster (c-mode) versions. Netapp is no longer devleoping for 7 mode and is urging customers to adopt c-mode. We do not want to lose snapdiff functionality.

It is my understanding that Netapp has released the API and the ball is now in IBM's court. Does IBM intend to move forward with making TSM snap differential capable in Netapp Cluster Mode?
