Keepalive option for Library client mount requests

Require library client sessions to use a keepalive or retry mechanism to keep from being timed out by firewalls.

Library client is in one part of the network, library manager is in another, separated by firewall. Security rules insist that a timeout of x minutes is enforced in the firewall and this non negotiable (in this actual case the timeout is 60 minutes).

At times library client sessions can wait longer than the timeout period for a mount. This causes backups/houskeeping to hang, with subsequent knock on effects and eventually nothing runs.

Workarounds will cancel backups/houskeeping unnecessarily, or require less than optimal use of tape drives and administrator intervention to manage this in the long term

A simple keepalive will allow TSM to manage these mounts in its usual way with minimal administrator input.

    This request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with the current multi-year strategy. IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting. IBM will update this request in the future.
