RELATED IDEAS

Enable partial scans of directories including subdirectories instead of whole shares

A scan in Spectrum Discover currently scans the whole share. Given the following example scenario:

  • We have a large share with 100.000+ of files

  • Some directories are rather static whereas other directories see daily or weekly changes

  • In order to speed up scans we would like to start a scan on one or severeal subdirectories of a given share instead of scanning the whole share
