IBM System Storage Ideas Portal

This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

Implement easy node selection for controlled deployment of Spectrum Discover in Openshift

Attempting to deploy Openshift with node labeling / node selection results in parts of the product being deployed on unlabeld nodes anyways.

Also production cluster scaling will mandatory need node labeling / selection to scale out Spectrum Discover in a controlled way. E.g. growing the Cluster from 3 Spectrum Discover nodes to 6 Spectrum Discover nodes in a 9 node cluster.

We need working node labels for DB2U, AMQ Streams and Spectrum Discover.

My attempts to install with node labels only showed DB2U to follow the labels. AMQ Streams and Spectrum Discover randomly deployed all over the place.

Please allow for fine granular control of nodes that will be used for deployment of Spectrum Discover.

Ideally, the AMQ Streams and the Spectrum Discover node selection could be implemented in a way that it at least allows to follow the DB2U node selection.

But also it should be possible to create a cluster that has 3 dedicated DB2U nodes and 3 different individual nodes that take care of AMQ Streams and Spectrum Discover ( just an example).
