Allow to the replace command to reclaim tapes in parallel

Hi,

From time to time we need to run the "eeadm tape replace" command to replace from the tape library, some tapes that the Storage Archive detect some read or write actions and decide that this tape is not healthy and it has to be removed and replaced with a new tape.

We have some performance issues with this command because when this command has to run the reclaim command, only reclaim 1 tape each time.

A "eeadm tape replace" command, execute this commands:

1.- eeadm tape reconcile: detect the valid files on a tape

2.- eeadm tape reclaim: move only the valid tapes to another tape

3.- eeadm tape unassign: unassigned the tape from the tape pool to be removed from the tape library and replaced with a new tape.

When you run a "eeadm tape reclaim" command alone, as a native EE command, it is able to reclaim tapes in parallel, I mean, it is able to reclaim more than one tape at the same time. But when the "eeadm tape replace" launch the reclaim command, is not able to reclaim more than one tape at the same time, only reclaim 1 tape at the same time

I would like to improve this behavior and give the possibility to the replace command to reclaim more than 1 tapes at the same because as explained before, the reclaim command is able to reclaim several tapes at the same time.

With this improvement, we will gain an important performance because in the Storage Archive environment, only one "eeadm tape" command is allowed to be executed at the same time, so it means that if a tape replace is taking long time (several days is you want to replace for instance a list with 10 tapes), during this time, you are not allowed to run more tapes commands: replace commands, reclaim command, etc. So in some way, the system block the execution of other tapes commands. If we gain performance with the replace command because is able to reclaim more than one tape at the same time, this blocking time will be less.
