AFM for Object Storage Support

We have a large set of science data that we save on our IBM Spectrum Scale system and to be able to reduce the amount of spinning fast disk are we using IBM Spectrum Archive to extend our storage to tape. But now does our data science people ask us to make a copy of all data to a cloud provider by using S3 protocol so they can use SaaS based HPC/ML tools and the only way to access the data is via S3. We sow a opportunity to have a extra copy on a separated data center if our own data center that contains Scale will be disconnected of any reasons. IBM Spectrum Archive does only support Filesystem / Fileset created in IW mode and my understanding that AFM for Object Storage can be communicate using IW afmmode but this has not been tested yet. We want IBM to test this and start support this functionality.

    This idea is about support for IBM Spectrum Archive with IBM Spectrum Scale AFM to cloud object storage configured in IW mode. The Spectrum Scale file system uses Spectrum Archive to migrate files to tape while files are transferred to object storage prior to migration. Spectrum Archive supports AFM in IW mode (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/spectrum-archive-ee/1.3.3?topic=requirements-limitations), but it does not officially support AFM to cloud object storage configured in IW mode.
