Add Microsoft Hyper-V Support in IBM Storage Defender Sentinel and IBM Storage Defender Copy Data Management

IBM Storage Defender Sentinel and IBM Storage Defender Copy Data Management currently lack native support for Microsoft Hyper-V environments. This limits security scanning coverage for customers running Windows-based virtualization infrastructures.

Based on discussions with our clients, Hyper-V is widely used in enterprise and government environments due to its strong Windows integration and cost efficiency.

Some customers operating mixed-hypervisor infrastructures experience security gaps without Hyper-V support.

Adding this capability expands Sentinel’s addressable market and strengthens IBM’s competitive positioning.

Unified scanning across VMware, Hyper-V, and other platforms improves operational efficency and reduces risks

Would it be possible to add support scanning of VM images, snapshots, and volumes on Hyper-V hosts and clusters? As well as add support for HyperV to the IBM Storage® Defender Copy Data Management which orchestrates snasphots workflow?

    We really need this feature to acquire new customers having Hyper-V.
