Launch Defender Licensing calculator service to enable self-service license planning

There's a need to launch a Defender Licensing calculator service within the platform to increase transparency and enable self-service for Defender customers


The information and platform is already available within IBM and IBM Ecosystem organization and needs to be implemented into the Defender SaaS platform for customer self-service.


Customers that bought Defender RUs need to have the ability to plan accordingly on how to use the Defender RUs they purchased in an efficient manner. Moreover, a licensing calculator service would also simplify their governance on staying compliant.


Phase 1 (MVP): simple calculator for different Defender solutions and their RU needs

Phase 2: implement connector to Passport Advantage to show RUs that were purchased

Phase 3: implement connectors to individual solutions (Storage Protect, Data Protect, CDM, SP4Cloud) to report RUs consumed by those solutions
