Improve object identification in DRS webhook notifications

IBM Storage Defender DRS webhook notifications frequently identify Recovery Groups, data sources, virtual machines, and other protected objects only by their internal IDs. When customers receive notifications such as compliance violations, at-risk recovery groups, or governance alerts, they must manually determine which DRS object corresponds to the reported ID. In environments with many protected workloads, this process is time-consuming and slows incident investigation.

To improve usability and operational efficiency, DRS should either:

  1. Include the human-readable object name and object type in webhook notifications in addition to the internal ID, and/or

  2. Provide a global search capability within the DRS user interface that allows administrators to search directly for object IDs and immediately navigate to the corresponding Recovery Group, Defender Group, source, or virtual machine.

  3. Provide an API functionality to search for object IDs and identify the corresponding Recovery Group, Data source, or virtual machine.

These enhancements would enable administrators to quickly identify affected workloads, reduce troubleshooting effort, and accelerate response to compliance and recovery-related events.
