  1. mmap calls are allowed against files where we have acquired DM_RIGHT_EXCLUSIVE, as long as the handle used for mmap was opened before the exclusive right was acquired.

  2. Acquiring DM_RIGHT_EXCLUSIVE access on a file with current active mmaps succeeds, and thus unlocked reads and writes can occur

The combination of the above issues significantly complicates DMAPI implementation on the platform and can represent data loss conditions where memory mapped writes may be lost in a manner that is opaque to DMAPI applications
