Forcing user and group IDs on SMB shares

With cross protocol access to a share, Unix users creating files with Spectrum Scale or NFS clients are using IDs that might not be known to the Active Directory or LDAP servers if a centralised external ID mapping is not in place or does not cover these Unix users. There is a need to enforce a default user ID and user group known to the AD/LDAP at an SMB share level.
Using the following options in the smb.conf file or using the NET CONF SETPARM command would be a very easy and simple workaround when no external and centralised ID mapping is in place:
"[MYSHARENAME]
comment = My share comment
path = /myfilesystem/pathtomyshare
force user = mydefaultuser
force group = mydefaultgroup
create mask = 0775
force create mode = 0775
directory mask = 0775
guest ok = Yes"
