Add Storage Class Attribute to Data Pushed to S3

When pushing data to S3 via the Cloudgateway service it would be helpful to be able to specify the storage class. If you don't specify the storage class the data will be stored in S3 Standard. You can create a Lifecycle policy to push the data to S3 Standard-IA, but that forces you to wait 30 days before the transfer occurs.

For clarity, is this a TCT request? If so, we have stabilized TCT functionality so no new enhancements. Our strategic direction for pushing data to S3 is AFM support for Object. Would you want us to consider the same capability under the new AFM support?

Looks like this would be “POST Object…” method field – “x-amz-storage-class” which allows for specifying the storage class for the object being PUT.
