RAS Enhancements for Spectrum Scale mmchnsd

In an today 7/24 work area and the use of spectrum scale as a general data plane there are no timeframe to unmount or stop a hole Spectrum scale cluster. If a customer has the requirement to change the nsd-server -nodes because of growing or changes in the workload, there must unmount the complete Filesystem to change the primary and alternate nsd-servers in the nsd stanza file.
The second problem here if you define the stanza-file there are no syntax-checks only during the execution. This gaps are very time consuming.

    I've also made similar comments to IBM about their pitch for Spectrum Scale as the foundation for cloud platforms, which are typically environments in which downtime of the service as a whole is just completely unacceptable. I'm not convinced adequate resources are being invested to align the tech with marketing pitches. Just my personal $.02, though.

    I opened Private RFE #63994 over a year ago and have had no traction :( It would be great to see some movement on this because it's hugely impactful to us for the same reason.
