the reason why we need a larger number of group id in Spectrum Scale is the following:
Our customer is using SAS Institute Software. Because of missing Security function within the application programs they using groups for all people accessing the data
stored in the Spectrum Scale file systems based on their rights for reading only and/or updating the data. Because we are big financial institute with insurance also
we have a lot of customers accessing the data and of course a lot of projects. So each project is one group id and we are now at the limit of 128 groups = projects
and we need more. This limitation is only in Spectrum Scale on AIX and not under other operating systems like Windows and Linux.
