This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The mmcesdr command that is used in 4.2 or later to set up protocols (NFS, SMB and Object) disaster recovery via AFM allows you to specify the secondary target with the --ip-list parameter as:
“a comma separated list of public IP addresses on the secondary cluster to be used for Active File Management (AFM) DR related NFS exports.”
However, mmcesdr does not allow one to specify an AFM export maps. The benefit of using an export map (when using NFS as the AFM transport protocol) is that is enables:
a) Parallel transfer of a large file using multiple gateways
b) Spreading the simultaneous transfer of multiple files within a single fileset across multiple gateways.
The ip-lists parameter appears to simply allocate the AFM sessions that mmcesdr sets up for the filesets holding NFS, SMB and object data to different IPs at the secondary site. We understand that while we would have HA between the gateways with such a configuration, we would not get parallel transfer of data without the use of an export map. Hence, mmcesdr appears not to support parallel transfers across multiple gateways.
Please can you add support for export maps to mmcesdr to enable parallel transfers.
