Scale CSI & CNSA should be package with base scale distribution

IBM Storage Scale Container Storage Interface Driver and IBM Storage Scale Container Native are add-on interfaces that are included in the base licensing for IBM Storage Scale. They are currently only available via external repositories that required on-line access. Many clients need the functionality required by these components and this need is only growing with the adoption of integrated solutions with Kubernetes. As these are now based needs for most clients, the functionality should be included in the base installation bundles and not required external sources.

    There are no plans for changing the distribution of method of CNSA nor CSI standalone. Container releases will continue to be available and distributed via ICR. Adding container images to the base Storage Scale distribution will add extra steps for customers and create a non-standard practice. That said, we do realize some customers require air-gap installations and thus have air-gap instructions detailing how to pull images directly and store in a customer hosted image respository. Air-gap instructions for CNSA and CSI standalone exist here:
