Storage Scale - Rest API for file system defragmentation

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

With the rapid growth in demand for AIGC and autonomous driving, our GPFS file systems are getting larger and larger. We know that disk fragmentation within a file system is an unavoidable condition. As time goes by, the space occupied by file system fragmentation will increase, leading to a declining utilization rate of the file system.

Based on the above issues, we need GPFS to provide a complete and detailed REST API to help us better manage file system defragmentation, including basic functions such as querying, starting, stopping, setting frequency, and QoS. Additionally, we hope to further optimize the impact of defragmentation on user operations.

Alibaba is an important customer of storage scale in China. They hope our dev team can provide more details about GPFS defragmentation, especially for more management API to help them better manager file system defragmentation.
