This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

I have a client with 58 PB on 3 x COS systems that would move data to the coldest tier on tape . They have a Scale Cluster too so Storage archive could be the best option to move data to tape and use AFM-to cloud S3 a s the tool to more or copy the data and use Discover as the tool to manage data movement history. The other option is to support Glacier S3 too. Please let us know if you need more information. For our client now this is a high priority request.
I think this is fine to have AFM-S3 push to S3 and S3 Glacier. I've spoken with dev/research folks around this and we can keep the scope for now at this. I'll file a new idea if I get enough client support to try AFM push to NFS and S3.
this can show how data in a single fileset can manage data at creation being placed in Flash TLC, to QLC to FCM4 to HDD to S3 to Tape (glacier).
