Support openSUSE as a GPFS client

SLES is an officially supported Linux distribution for installing GPFS/Scale (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/storage-scale/5.1.9?topic=gpfs-software-requirements). openSUSE is binary compatible with SLES as of version 15.3 (see https://www.suse.com/c/introducing-suse-linux-enterprise-15-sp3/), but it is not on the list of officially supported Linux distributions.

When attempting to install the GPFS client RPMs as provided by IBM on an openSUSE host, the installation fails due to some version checks. If one stubs out those version checks, GPFS can be installed and it works normally on openSUSE. Can those version checks be updated to allow for installation on openSUSE?

The contents of /etc/os-release can be modified to resemble SLES, which allows mmbuildgpl to proceed successfully, and otherwise an "Unsupported Distribution" error is reported. I believe the get_DistValues subroutine (/usr/lpp/mmfs/src/config/configure) contains the version checks in question.

Please refer to This FAQ for Linux clone support statement. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/storage-scale?topic=STXKQY/gpfsclustersfaq.html#linuxclone

Can you please let us know what you did here --> If one stubs out those version checks

This may help us understand if there is anything we can do to help this run as a clone distribution per the link above
