Storage Scale - Need GPFS to support storing or exporting performance data into enterprise-level time series database like InfluxDB or Prometheus

Problem:

1. The "pmcollector" service usually cannot work well when the GPFS cluster has over 100 nodes. As a result, the GUI will not display the performance data normally. And restarting the GUI will not help.
2. ZIMON can not process large amount of performance data, which will result in pmcollector service failure. And there's no automatic mechanism to clear or archive history data. The only way is to delete the expired performance data manually. That should be unacceptable for most of our clients.

What we need:

1. We hope GPFS could improve the performance and stability of the pmcollector service.

2. We expect to load or export data directly to DBs like InfluxDB or Prometheus from PMSensors. So we can store the performance data for more time in our own database.
