Erase on Scratch (Hardware)

Last year we were directed to use Erase on Scratch(All) on our z/OS Systems. Testing was done on our Development Systems, but due to long elapsed times for Batch jobs, Erase on Scratch was turned off. We have a mix of DS8886's and DS8870 DASD Subsystems.

    We are moving away from LR-Erase for Software to do Erase on Scratch and moving to Release Space. This RFE would be for an optimization of the LR-Erase. We do not anticipation addressing Erase on Scratch by optimizing LR-Erase at this point in time.
