DS8880 needs to support nested LDAP groups

We have a large number of IBM DS8886's spread across our enterprise along with some older DS8870's. As of a couple of weeks ago they were all setup to use LDAP for user logon authentication. However, without our knowledge our administrators enabled the use of nested LDAP groups which immediately removed our ability to logon to these boxes. We are working on enabling a temporary workaround but nothing that will allow us to manage the authority fully outside of the DS8886's. We need the ability for CSM on the DS8886 HMC's to be able to support an environment that has nested LDAP groups. We are not aware of any other products within our enterprise that has this same limitation.

    We were able to work with a DS8886 developer/architect to allow LDAP to work in our new environment with the use of advanced XML search settings for LDAP. While this does work the initial logon is slower until the search results are cached. So, this really needs to be changed to a requirement that the search in our environment be allowed to work natively without the use of advanced XML search criteria and in a manner that performs in an efficient manner the first time the search is done.
