Improve DS8000 Rest API capabilities

REST API the current trend for automation. It provides a flexible, scalable, and easy-to-use way to retrieve and automate tasks that can be accessed from any platform or programming language. Enhancing Rest API on DS8000 will enable end users to save time automating many tasks. It will also help storage administrators to monitor DS8000 state to identify existing and possible issues to happen in the future.

The REST API should have the same functionality as the DSCLI. Anything that can be done through the DSCLI in terms of configuration and storage administration should be done through the API.

Example - For security purposes being able to view/add/change security settings (access, encryption, etc) through the API will help to onboard to our firms strict standards.

That would be really helpful, we could Rest APIs to perform quick checks and have custom dashboards that would reflect exactly what the customer wants to see, great idea!
