This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Using Transparent Cloud Tiering (TCT) the network adapters are now key for this function. Currently there is no function available to monitor the utilization of the adapters. The idea is to add an option within ‘monitoring’ à ‘performance’ where I can have a look at the network bandwidth in total and for each adapter. Even better to see
- 'In' and 'out' traffic separated
- Network latency
Additionally the number of copy task in use could also be helpful to find out bottlenecks.
Reason: Looking at TS7770 (target of TCT) I can see peeks of 300MB/s which includes some GridTraffic, but I have 2 times 10Gb/s adapters installed with DS8K. Where is the bottleneck? Without any figures there is no professional tuning possible.
