This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

I am using Basic Hyperswap and I need a practical solution to clear the F-SYS status.
I described my situation in Case TS013527596 , and I have agreed with the technician support to open an IDEA.

This idea goes well with mine, so I have joined here.
I agree with Bill's comment. We cannot remove the F-SYS state when HyperSwap is enabled. If there is a time period that you do not want to hyperswap and want the F-SYS state removed, then simply uncheck the "Manage H1H2 with HyperSwap" option on the session. This will unload the configuration and thus remove the state. You do not need to suspend or terminate the session. If you would like to discuss this further both Bill and myself would be more than happy to get on a call.
I'm not sure what you are asking for. In order for HyperSwap to be ready to swap, in the event of an unplanned HyperSwap trigger, all of the secondary devices must be in a F-SYS state and have path groups established. If we turn off F-SYS, we will no longer be HyperSwap capable.
