Better estimation on tape capacity

At the moment TSM does not do any true estimation or ongoing estimation on the capacity of a tape.

Have the ability to choose the backup node in oracle

Spectrum protect plus does not currently have the ability to choose the preferred node for backups in the case of oracles like in the exchange for example, and we have this in question for some customers, who do not want to change in oracle

Change or add algorithm that TSM will use to select scratch tapes.

TSM DRM tapes are checked out of the tape library, and taken offsite for disaster recovery. When the tapes are returned from offsite, and put back into the library and go back to scratch status, the acquired count goes back to 0. The tapes get use...

TSM repository server is not supported as catalog backup target for SPP+ (enable catalog backup to repository server)

Using the SPP+ gui you can select a TSM repository server as a target for catalog backup for SPP+. I have opened a call with IBM support (TS013178083) because at 10.1.14-217 release at least of SPP+ no matter how you configure the TSM S3 repositor...

Skip recall when files are open()ed with O_TRUNC

Adding this feature it would prevent many unnecessary recalls. As recalls from tape are an expensive operation it would improve the performance of the filesystem.
