Fast way to determine tape location of archive data

A fast way to determine what tapes contain archive data with a particular description. This could also be extended to which tape(s) conatina an archived/backed up file. The query we have to use to determine this information is excrutiatingly slow....

Too long time to start &terminate TSM Server after DB backup

TSM should provide a couple options of DB2 logging mode to avoid a waste of time to wait for expanding a truncated log. e.g. DB2 LOGRETAIN, smaller log size less than 512MB and so on.
